Notes: Head to Michaelkirch first, and check out the remains of the bombed church, which was reconstructed and still stands strong. Then, walk down the steps, to Engelbecken. This site was the separation between East and West Berlin. In the snowy winter, you can see people ice skating here. In the summer, many people hang out, have picnics and feed the swans and ducks. You can walk through the rose garden all the way down the Luisenstadt Canal (formally a canal, now a walkable path) which leads to Landwehr Kanal, in Kreuzberg.
